Brian Dendy
Brian hit the jam band music scene starting at the age of 15 in Rockford, IL. Since then he has played drums live and in the recording studio with groups ranging from metal, progressive rock, R&B/soul, hip hop and rock. He has studied with legends like Frank Donaldson, Tom Hipskind, Jonathan Barber, Josh Kaplan and others. After finishing his degree in Music Performance and Music Business from Columbia College Chicago he had the opportunity to move overseas to South Korea, where he played with the indie-rock group Deserts and taught private drum lessons.
After Brian’s return to the USA he set up shop in Madison WI, where he met R&B soul sensation David Deon. Brian started filling in on drums with David’s band, Unified Soul. In 2014, Unified Soul went on hiatus and David started a funk R&B group called The Soul Inspirations with Brian as their full-time drummer. Currently, Brian performs with the self-proclaimed “Dark Knights of Synth” Immortal Girlfriend, among many other artists throughout the Midwest and beyond.
